01Education and simulation only
SmartTrade lets you practice trading US stocks with simulated money. Member accounts are paper accounts. No real orders are placed for members and no real money is at risk on the platform.
02Automatic practice trades in your paper account
For every recommended pick that the AI agents take, SmartTrade automatically places a simulated practice trade in your paper account, up to $5,000 per trade, sized by risk, using the same rules as the main paper-trading desk. No real money or real orders. Information only, not financial advice.
These automatic practice trades follow the shared Model portfolio (same picks, entries, stops, targets and the 2:50 PM CT close). They use only your simulated paper money, never real money, and never reach Alpaca or any real broker. Each trade is sized like the main desk: about 0.5% of your paper equity at risk (distance to the stop), up to $5,000 per trade, at most 8 open and $40,000 total, and no new trades once the $1,500 daily loss limit would be reached. A pick is skipped when those limits or your paper cash do not allow it, or you already traded that symbol today. You can close or reset them at any time, and your own practice trades are never changed. Their results are hypothetical and are not a recommendation for you to trade.
03Not investment, financial, legal or tax advice
The content, picks, grades, scores, charts and journals in SmartTrade are general information. They are not investment, financial, legal or tax advice. Talk to a licensed professional before making any real investment decision.
04Picks come from automated AI agents and may be wrong
Recommended picks are generated by automated AI agents (assistants) using public market data. They are impersonal: every member sees the same picks, and they do not take your finances, goals or risk tolerance into account.
AI agents can make mistakes. Picks, grades, confidence scores, entries, targets and stops may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
05Simulated results have limitations
Hypothetical or simulated performance has inherent limitations. Simulated trades do not involve real money, so they do not reflect real-world factors such as liquidity, slippage, partial fills, fees, or the emotional pressure of real trading. Results in SmartTrade may differ materially from what you would get in a real account.
Past performance does not guarantee future results. Trading stocks involves substantial risk of loss, and you can lose more than you expect.
06You make your own decisions
Apart from the automatic simulated practice trades described above, you alone decide what to trade, in a simulated account or anywhere else, and you are solely responsible for those decisions and their results.
07No broker-dealer or adviser relationship
SmartTrade is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser or financial planner. Using SmartTrade does not create a broker-dealer, investment adviser, fiduciary or client relationship between you and SmartTrade or its owner.
08Market data may be delayed or incomplete
Prices and volume come from free data sources and may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. In particular, volume may reflect trades on the IEX exchange only, so it can be much lower than total market volume. Do not rely on SmartTrade data for real trading.
